QAFCO-Day is an annual get together function held in January every year, for the Company’s management and staff.

This year QAFCO day 2008 was held at Gulf Marriott Hotel on 6th and 7th January 2008. A large crowd attended the function. At the outset, QAFCO Managing Director, Mr. Khalifa Al-Sowaidi delivered a speech in which he outlined the company’s achievements for the previous year 2007 and set out its plans and objectives for the year 2008.

During the function Qatari employees who have completed their training programmes and taken up established positions were honored. This comes in the context of QAFCO’s Qatarisation and performance improvement plans. During the function, QAFCO staff members who had served the company for a very long time were felicitated.

Apart from this the QAFCO Environment awards for the year 2007 was also presented.

The function program included several entertaining items and lucky draws were given away to lucky winners, a sumptuous dinner brought QAFCO-Day 2008 to its close.
