QAFCO started production from its first plant (QAFCO 1) in 1973 with a nominal capacity of 900 tons of Ammonia and 1000 tons of Urea daily. Since then due to the continuous developments and the very high level of operation efficiency the total production capacity of the copanny has has been enormously expanded. Presently QAFCO complex comprises four completely integrated trains; QAFCO 1 (1973), QAFCO 2 (1979), QAFCO 3 (1997), QAFCO 4 (2004) and QAFCO 5 (2011). Each train is made up of two units, one for production of ammonia and the other for urea, with a total production of 10,2411 tons of Ammonia and 14,531 tons of urea daily.
